EHC is currently looking for an Onboarding Coordinator for a client in the south Houston, TX area.
Summary:
The Onboarding Coordinator provides administrative support throughout the pre-employment and new-hire onboarding process. This role is responsible for coordinating pre-employment requirements, maintaining accurate onboarding documentation, completing employment eligibility processes, and ensuring new hires are cleared and prepared for their first day.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates pre-employment requirements for new hires, including background checks and drug screenings.
- Reviews background check and drug screening statuses and follows up on outstanding requirements as needed.
- Completes Forms I-9, reviews employment eligibility documentation, and processes E-Verify cases.
- Reviews new-hire onboarding documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Assists new hires with completing required onboarding forms and documentation.
- Maintains accurate I-9, E-Verify, pre-employment, and onboarding records in accordance with company procedures.
- Prepares and maintains new-employee files and ensures required documentation is properly filed.
- Enters and updates new-hire information within the HRIS and other applicable systems.
- Communicates with recruiters, hiring managers, candidates, and other internal teams regarding onboarding status and outstanding requirements.
- Scans, files, emails, and maintains employment-related documentation.
- Provides general administrative support related to onboarding and new-hire processing.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple new hires and onboarding processes simultaneously.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information appropriately.
- Strong follow-up skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS or onboarding systems.
- Basic understanding of Form I-9, E-Verify, background screening, and other pre-employment processes preferred.
