Nursing Home - Director of Housekeeping
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Housekeeping to lead and oversee housekeeping operations within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment. In this leadership role, you will ensure the facility maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
ResponsibilitiesDirect and manage all housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure exceptional cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility.
Develop and oversee staff schedules to ensure timely completion of housekeeping and laundry duties.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance are consistently met.
Ensure adherence to infection control procedures and safety protocols.
Oversee orientation, training, and ongoing development of housekeeping and laundry staff.
Manage inventory, purchasing, storage, and distribution of housekeeping and laundry supplies.
Maintain adequate linen inventory levels for facility operations.
Remain current with all state and federal regulations related to housekeeping and laundry services in healthcare settings.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Housekeeping Director in a long-term care, rehabilitation, or sub-acute healthcare setting.
Strong leadership, organizational, and administrative skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of infection control procedures and healthcare regulatory standards.
Compassionate and professional approach when working with elderly residents and healthcare staff.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
