The Yard Hand / Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient yard while managing inventory, materials, tools, and equipment. This position supports field crews by ensuring supplies are available, equipment is ready for use, and the yard remains safe and orderly.

Requirements:Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain the company yard.
  • Receive, unload, and properly store incoming materials.
  • Track inventory levels of tools, equipment, hardware, and supplies.
  • Restock inventory and notify management when supplies are running low.
  • Keep storage areas neat, labeled, and organized.
  • Load and unload trucks using skid steers or other equipment as needed.
  • Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment for damage or missing items.
  • Assist with equipment cleaning, fueling, and minor maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Keep the yard clean by removing trash, debris, and hazards.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with other shop and yard duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in construction, excavation, or industrial yard operations preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are a plus.
  • Ability to organize and manage inventory efficiently.
  • Skid Steer experience required.
  • Valid class c driver's license required.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate yard equipment.

Work Environment

This position is primarily outdoors in a construction yard environment. The employee will be exposed to varying weather conditions, moving equipment, and construction materials while maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
