Network Device Developer / Reverse Engineer
Columbia, MD | Full Time | TS/SCI with Polygraph Required
Position: Network Device Developer / Reverse Engineer (Application Developer, Level 2)
Location: Columbia, MD (on-site)

Compensation: $160,000 – $200,000 (annualized USD)
Experience Requirement:
6+ years with a Bachelor's degree, OR
4+ years with a Master's degree, OR
4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Description
The successful candidate will perform reverse engineering and software development for network-based devices. You'll be responsible for the design, implementation, and integration of tactical software solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-impact environment.
You'll have the opportunity to work closely with analysts, data scientists, and other software engineers to provide tactical technical support.
Responsibilities
Derive, document, and analyze stakeholder requirements.
Port, modify, or augment existing toolsets.
Provide rapid prototypes for early validation and user feedback to demonstrate understanding of project requirements.
Provide production-ready tools that operate within project constraints.
Skills Requirements
Familiar with Unix-based systems (e.g., BSD, Linux, UNIX, etc.).
Experience with reverse engineering Linux-based network devices with Ghidra and/or IDA Pro.
In-depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and analysis of network traffic (e.g., Wireshark).
Produce and modify software systems in C/C++/Python/Assembly.
Provide support for fielded software systems.
Familiarity with Git and Subversion and Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence).
Nice to Haves
Experience reverse engineering various RTOS or MS Windows.
Experience with various RISC processors (MIPS, POWER, ARM).
Experience with any of the following: Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, Rust, Go.
Experience developing software in Linux/Windows/Embedded applications.
Experience with Vulnerability Research and Exploit Development.
Compensation Employment Policy
Salary is determined by multiple factors, including location, education, experience, skills, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $160,000 – $200,000 (annualized USD).
