About This Role
The position of Lead Teacher is available, requiring a team player who can assist in creating a nurturing environment for young children and contribute to educational activities. Assisting staff in implementing a high-quality program and developing positive relationships with parents and children is key. Effective communication, observation, and documentation skills are essential in this role. Lead Teachers work under the direction of the Director to design engaging and suitable activities based on children's interests and needs.
What You'll Do
- Develop a tailored program that caters to the needs and interests of preschool children
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to educate children
- Regularly observe and assess each child to enhance their social skills and self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical abilities through a well-structured curriculum (identifying shapes, numbers, colors, crafts etc.)
- Organize daily routines, including nap and snack times, ensuring children's safety at all times
- Monitor and record children's progress, providing regular updates to parents
- Maintain open communication with parents to understand the children's background and psyche
- Collaborate with other educators to achieve a cohesive and effective educational environment
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, adhering to health and safety standards
Requirements
- Certification in child CPR is required, or ability to be certified upon hire.
- A balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen is essential.
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable individual preferred.
- Ability to act as mediator between children is necessary.
- Excellent communication and instructional skills are required.
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms is a must.
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods is crucial.
- Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher (preferred).
