Z-Mill Floor Operator

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:The ZMill Floor Operator is responsible for the floor level tasks on the mill. Standard Work Instructions are to be understood and followed.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Coordinate and communicate with material movement and roll grinding the necessary coils and mill roll needs for the production shift. 2. Loading and unloading coils onto the machine.3. Change rolls and backing shafts as needed.4. Inspect the strip per work instructions.5. Data entry into P.C.'s.6. Maintain housekeeping standards.SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Other duties as assigned2. Participation in relevant continuous improvement programs.MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED requiredPHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:• Mobility in plant• While performing the duties of (this job), the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, etc.• The employee is frequently required to make use of their hands for technical tasks• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds• The employee must occasionally push and/or pull up to 100 pounds• Visual ability with or without correction• Communication abilitiesHEALTH AND SAFETY:1. Report to the Safety Coordinator, Group Lead or Supervisor any contravention of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations or Company policy6. Must follow all Lock out Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for designated machines7. Must follow all Environmental Policies and Regulations8. Maintain a clean and safe work areaWORK ENVIRONMENT:1.
