CVOR Registered Nurse
Job Description
A CVOR Registered Nurse opportunity is available in Webster, TX at a 530+ bed Level II Trauma Center that serves as the only exclusive heart hospital south of Houston, offering nationally recognized cardiovascular care.
The role. In this position, you will apply aseptic technique to maintain sterile fields and assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures, as well as prepare patients for surgery with attention to the specific prep requirements each procedure demands. You will conduct pre-operative patient assessments to confirm patient understanding of the planned procedure and lead the perioperative team through the required surgical timeout protocol. Serving as a resource to the broader Surgical Services team, you will demonstrate adaptability and strong teamwork while maintaining accountability for delivering quality nursing care and upholding a positive image of the nursing profession.
What we're looking for.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required; BSN is preferred
- Associated Degree of Nursing required
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
- Current BLS and ACLS Certification are required
- CNOR is preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cardiovascular Operating Room setting is required
Schedule. Full-time days, no weekends; on-call as needed with a requirement of one weekend per month and three to four weekdays; operating hours 7 am – 5 pm; shifts are either 10 hours across four days per week or 12 hours across three days per week.
Compensation. $42.00 - $65.00/hr plus $5 sign-on bonus
