Child Care Teacher (Toddler & Two-Year-Old Classroom)

Position Summary

We are seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic teachers to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play-based learning.

What You'll Do

Job Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support early learning and development.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Support children's emotional, social, language, and physical development.
• Assist children with daily routines, including diapering or toileting, handwashing, meals, naps, and transitions.
• Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom.
• Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and needs.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required training.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to provide a positive learning environment.

Requirements

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with toddlers or young children preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Ability to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
• Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass all required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
