Job Description
Own the uptime

We’re looking for a reliability-focused technician to steward our injection molding assets and supporting utilities. You’ll be the calm in the storm—keeping equipment calibrated, documentation tight, and budgets on track—while responding decisively when a line goes down.

Your impact in the first 90 days
  • Map every injection press, auxiliary, and facility system to a preventive maintenance plan, then close gaps in procedures and documentation.
  • Establish a calibration cadence for machine controls; verify screw and barrel condition against minimum requirements.
  • Stabilize top downtime drivers through root cause analysis and rapid countermeasures.
  • Baseline parts inventory and maintenance spend; implement controls to protect the budget.
What you’ll handle
  • Partner with the Maintenance Manager to maximize equipment utilization and availability.
  • Author and execute PM procedures for presses and auxiliaries (granulators, dryers, water tower, chiller, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on production and facility equipment.
  • Specify and recommend auxiliary equipment purchases that enhance reliability and throughput.
  • Operate mobile equipment as needed: forklifts, scissor lifts, and skid loaders.
  • Maintain thorough records of PMs, installations, structural repairs, work orders, and facility operating reports.
  • Control maintenance costs by monitoring inventory and expenses.
  • Provide technical support for facility infrastructure: electrical systems, building projects, and plumbing.
  • Lead continuous improvement; keep work areas and company grounds safe, orderly, and aligned with 5S.
  • Remain on call 24/7 for maintenance issues that could impact customer deliveries.
  • Complete additional related tasks as assigned.
What you bring Education
  • High School diploma or GED.
Experience
  • Minimum 7 years in industrial maintenance with injection molding machinery; blow molding or extrusion experience may substitute.
  • Demonstrated mechanical know‑how across hydraulics, pumps, and motors.
  • Strong electrical background: read schematics and troubleshoot complex wiring and control systems.
  • Track record of timely, cost-effective repairs and sound troubleshooting.
Skills and traits
  • Can-do, self-motivated, and clear communicator (written and verbal).
  • Decisive and data-driven; exercises good judgment under pressure.
  • Comfortable reading engineering drawings plus electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Expertise with industrial electrical control and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficient diagnosing single- and three-phase motors.
  • Familiarity with logic/PLC controls is a plus.
  • Works independently; drives projects and continuous improvement to completion.

  2. Preventive maintenance execution and documentation quality
  3. Maintenance and repair cost adherence to budget
