Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical (Travel)

Compensation: $1,700–$1,800 Gross Weekly (Based on Experience)

Shift: Night Shift

Schedule:

• Approximately 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Schedule may vary based on department needs
• 36 Hours Per Week

Employment Type: Travel Contract

Work Setting: 100% Onsite

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical for a 13-week travel assignment in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience and strong clinical skills in caring for adult patients with a variety of acute medical and surgical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical/Surgical patients.
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and communicate significant changes promptly.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
• Provide patient and family education as appropriate.
• Respond effectively to urgent and changing patient care needs.

Required QualificationsExperience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience within the required specialty.
• Recent acute care experience required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

Certifications

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.

Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for the assignment required.

Travel Requirements

• Travelers only.
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the assignment location are not eligible.

Holiday Requirements

Traveler must be available to work:

• 2 Major Holidays out of:
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year's Day
• 1 Minor Holiday out of:
  • Friday after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • New Year's Eve
