JANITOR

Job Description

JANITOR –Easthampton, MA. Day Shift - Monday-Friday - $21.00/hour to start.

We are actively hiring a JANITOR to join our dedicated team. The purpose of the JANITOR is to maintain and provide a safe work facility which includes cleaning, sanitizing, and serving building needs for the Riverside Industries, Inc. areas as well as common areas of the One Cottage Street facility. We are looking for a person who has a positive attitude and who is professional.

Experienced Janitors, as well as Maintenance Assistants, are encouraged to apply. Excellent communication skills are imperative, and you must be comfortable engaging and interacting with the people we serve, as well as staff and building tenants.

Must have working knowledge of cleaning practices, chemicals, supplies, and equipment, as well as the physical ability and agility to use cleaning tools, chemicals, equipment and supplies.

Shift: Monday - Friday - 40- hour day shift

Requirements:

· At least 18 years old

· Valid driver's license and good driving record preferred

· Able to pass a pre-employment CORI, SORI, and Fingerprinting

. High School Diploma or GED preferred

.Excellent communication skills are imperative, and you must be comfortable engaging and interacting with the people we serve, as well our staff and building tenants.

.Must have working knowledge of cleaning practices, chemicals, supplies, and equipment, as well as the physical ability and agility to use cleaning tools, chemicals, equipment and supplies.

.Outdoor upkeep, including shoveling snow and maintaining entrances, walkways and driveways is necessary during inclement weather.

.Stamina to stand and work for 4 hours straight is required.

.Must have the capacity to visually assess cleanliness and understand and carry out simple oral and written directions.

.Dependability, attention to detail, ability to work independently and time management are expected.
