Cedar Healthcare Center, a senior living and rehabilitation community in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking a compassionate and professional Receptionist to join our team.

Position: Receptionist – Full-Time & Part-Time Available
Location: Portsmouth, NH


Pay Range: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour

Schedule Options

We are offering both Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities with flexible scheduling options:

  • Part-Time: Work 3 days per week

  • Full-Time: Work 3 days during the week PLUS weekends

This schedule is a great opportunity for candidates looking for either a consistent three-day part-time schedule or full-time hours that include weekend coverage.

Summary

Cedar Healthcare Center is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Receptionist to support both our reception and business office functions. This role serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff while also assisting with key administrative and financial processes, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy healthcare environment.

What You'll Do

  • Greet residents, families, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner

  • Answer and direct phone calls, respond to emails, and take messages as needed

  • Provide exceptional customer service and serve as a welcoming first point of contact

  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality when handling resident records and sensitive information

  • Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and record keeping

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including data entry and invoice tracking

  • Support billing functions, including preparing and submitting documentation as directed

  • Maintain accurate financial and administrative records

  • Provide general administrative and business office support

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Basic computer proficiency

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus

  • Prior experience in a healthcare or senior living environment preferred

  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
