JOB SUMMARY
This position is largely responsible for assisting with the operation of the Blue Lake Fuel & Fun. It is under general direction of the Fuel Mart Manager and the primary function is to supervise subordinates and maintain orderly operations of the location. This role also performs all duties of a C-Store Attendant. This position assumes the responsibilities of the management in their absence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee daily operations of the Blue Lake Fuel & Fun and property.
- Maintain, at all times, a courteous, tactful relationship with our guests.
- Maintain, at all times, a clean, well-lighted environment for our guests including the pump islands, landscaping, driveways and parking lot, interior of building, floors, shelves, coolers, storage areas, eating areas and restrooms.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with staff.
- Collects cash from guests for purchases and makes change or charges purchases, using the guest credit card.
- Responsible for overall site safety in all areas and functions including dispensing of fuels, storage of fuels, spill management, fire safety, site emergency response procedures, food safety, and the general safety of all guests and Team Members.
- Responsible for all aspects of food safety including cleanliness and hygiene standards, hygienic preparation of food items, sterilization of all food surfaces, proper cold and hot food storage, food temperature and hold time monitoring, HACCP, and all other duties related to food safety.
- Acts as the designated Safety Officer for the Blue Lake Fuel & Fun, when other management is not on-site, and is responsible for training staff, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
- Become familiar with vendors and purchasing functions.
- Become proficient with handheld computer device for receiving goods, inventory control and placing orders.
- Update and display price changes.
- Prepare and submit daily reports as prescribed such as daily sales and inventory reports.
- Become proficient with backroom operating system.
- Assist manager with monthly inventory of sensitive items (i.e. tobacco and alcohol products).
- Ensure that all delivery of food, tobacco and beverage items are properly received by matching quantities to packing slip or invoice.
- Learn policies, rules & regulations and apply them using fairness and good judgment.
- Carry out verbal and written instructions from management and follow-through in the completion of all assignments.
- This position performs all of the duties and responsibilities of a Line Cook – C-Store as scheduled, and as needed.
- Protect the assets of the Blue Lake Fuel & Fun and Blue Lake Rancheria.
- Other duties as assigned by management, including any supervisor, manager, or executive.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent, with one year experience working in a convenience store or closely related business. Prefer candidate with at least one year employment at the Blue Lake Fuel & Fun, with good attendance and dependability.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Basic computer literacy including use of computerized service station software, point-of -sale (POS) systems, and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of office equipment including telephone, fax, credit card processors and cash register/POS systems.
- Basic computer literacy including use of computerized software systems.
- Ability to relate with visitors and staff; maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor at all times. Excellent interpersonal skills in relating with guests and staff.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- While employed, must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
- Must obtain and maintain credential in Underground Storage Training for Attendants within 30 days of employment.
- Must obtain and maintain credential in Propane Dispensing Training within 30 days of employment.
