Amoroso Woodridge is looking for a Registered Nurse to fulfill the position of Infection Preventionist/Staff Development Coordinator. The Registered Nurse chosen for this position will work closely with, and report to the Director of Nursing. Who We Are:Amoroso Woodridge is a privately-owned, 95-bed skilled nursing facility in Harrisburg. We strive to provide exceptional care to our residents in a warm, home-like environment. What We Need:Registered Nurse with at least 2 years experience in a long-term care/skilled nursing management/supervisory roleFormal Infection Preventionist training (CDC/CMS training is acceptable)Experience training/developing staff using various educational mediums, including electronic, in-person, one-on-one, and group training.Creativity in educational inservice presentation to foster learningExceptional time-management and organizational skillsPA-PSRS and NHSN experience strongly preferred - candidate will need to secure access to NHSN within 60 days of hire What You Will Do:Manage and execute the Infection Prevention Program, including tracking, surveillance, reporting, and educationChampion the facility's immunization program for residents and staffChair the Infection Control MeetingActive member of the QAA Committee; participates in QAA sub-committees as assignedProvide individual and group education based on Federal and State requirements, facility need, and staff performanceCoordinate and oversee the facility's New Employee OrientationWork closely with medical providersMake rounds to identify educational needs and compliance with infection control practicesProvide educational sessions for staff in all departments and all shiftsBe an active member of the nursing team to improve clinical outcomesIdentify improvement opportunities and develop action plansOther duties as described in the job description/assigned by the DONWhen you will work:Typically Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm Off hours (evening, night shift, weekends) to provide education to staff working on those shifts - typically 1-2 times per month and as neededAlternate hours will be required based on the needs of the facilityParticipate in an on-call rotation with other Nursing Administration Team members What we offer:Medical, dental, and vision plans - available the first of the next month after startingCompetitive salary (this is salaried management position, not hourly)Opportunity for growthGenerous PTO packageTuition reimbursementSupportive TeamMuch more​
