We’re seeking a Plant Production Superintendent to guide our plastics bag-making operation across Converting and Extrusion. You’ll orchestrate people, processes, and priorities so production runs safely, on time, on budget, and to spec—every time.

Your Focus
  • Safety & Wellbeing: Advance initiatives that protect the safety, health, security, and welfare of all employees.
  • Operational Discipline: Keep production areas clean, orderly, and compliant with environmental and company standards.
  • Holistic Oversight: Provide inclusive oversight of all production and production support activities aligned with company policies, principles, procedures, values, and standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Perpetually assess systems, procedures, equipment, facilities, and team capabilities to optimize safety, flow, service, quality, and profitability.
  • Quality Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols.
  • Delivery & Cost: Ensure activities remain on schedule and within budget; review budgets and report cost plans to corporate leadership.
  • Talent Pipeline: Track staffing needs and recruit as needed; lead, motivate, and support the production team, including career development and problem resolution.
What You’ll Drive Daily
  • Daily GEMBA engagements on the floor.
  • Daily audits for Standard Work, Housekeeping, and Roll Scanning.
  • Shift scorecards posted twice monthly.
  • Support for attendance and performance write-ups.
  • Completion of SABA safety training across shifts.
  • Overtime scheduling in line with demand.
  • On-the-floor support to the shift supervisor to improve uptime.
  • Data collection and metric updates to hit productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Materials and inventory oversight.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; additional education and/or leadership training preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of production processes with the ability to oversee the bag-making process.
  • 5–10+ years in a production environment.
  • Self-directed with demonstrated effectiveness across all organizational levels.
  • Clear, confident communicator.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and aptitude for new systems.
  • Willing and able to work overtime.
  • Leadership/people management proficiency.
