As a Nursing Home Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met, while also promoting a positive and welcoming dining environment.
Cook Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of meals for residents with diverse dietary needs and preferences
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations
Collaborate with our dietary team to plan and prepare menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents
Ensure timely and efficient food service to our residents
Develop and implement menu planning and budgeting strategies to ensure cost-effective and high-quality meals
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall dining experience for our residents
Cook Requirements:
Prior experience in cooking, nutrition, or a related field preferred
Experience in a long-term care setting or similar environment is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, push, and move equipment and supplies as needed
