Job Description
A 523-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiac Telemetry Med-Surg unit. The hospital is certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, holds accreditation from the Joint Commission, and is recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology (ACC), as well as a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery.
The role. In this position, you will assess patient condition at admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and communicating changes in patient status to the care team. You will carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring while maintaining thorough, timely documentation in the patient's medical record. Medication administration is a core responsibility — you will monitor patients for therapeutic response and respond appropriately to any unintended effects. You will also educate patients, families, and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care, translating complex medical information into terms they can understand.
What we're looking for.
- 1 year of RN experience required (open to any setting, including LTAC, Home Health, etc.)
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Schedule. Days or Nights, both with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $29.73 - $43.20/hr plus Sign on: Case by Case (Not Guaranteed) Relocation Assistance: Case by Case
