Preschool Music Teacher

Bush Hill Day School seeks a dependable and nurturing Music Teacher to join our close-knit team, providing a supportive environment where a love of music education can thrive. Our learn-through-play preschool program caters to children aged 2-5, with a focus on hands-on learning, social-emotional development, and inclusivity. As a Music Teacher, you'll be part of a collaborative environment that values professionalism, creativity, and a passion for teaching young children.

This part-time position would include teaching three 30 minute music classes per week to three age groups (2 to 3 year olds, 3 to 4 year olds,and 4 to 5 year olds).

With our emphasis on creating a positive and well-managed classroom environment, we're looking for an educator who can manage and create a music class that is fun, engaging, interactive and age appropriate.

As a preschool program that prioritizes the emotional, social, and cognitive growth of our young students, we're eager to find someone who shares our values and is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of

our children through music instruction.

• Creating and Implementing/Delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate music lessons that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students.
• Establish a warm and welcoming music class atmosphere, where children feel safe, supported, and excited to interact and engage in the music class.

• Music classes are offered for 3 age groups (2/3yos, 3/4yos, and 4/5yos)
• Classes are offered on Thursdays and Fridays, October through the first week of May.
• 3 classes per day (10:30am - 11:30am) Those classes are 30 minutes in length (1.5 hours/ day; 3 hours/week)

• First Aid / CPR

Bush Hill Day School is a “learn through play” preschool for children ages 2 through 5-years-old that has been in operation for 65 years! We see ourselves as a supplement to the home and a place where young children can feel cared for, protected, and secure. Creating community, sharing fellowship, and supporting young families drives our purpose. We are dedicated to nurturing our young students’ social-emotional development, as well as preparing them academically for kindergarten, while having fun!
