About the Role:
The Bus Detailer for Motor Coach Fleet plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of a fleet of motor coaches. This position ensures that each vehicle is thoroughly cleaned inside and out, contributing to a positive experience for passengers and upholding the company’s standards of quality and safety. The role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards, as the condition of the buses directly impacts customer satisfaction and brand reputation. The Bus Detailer will work closely with maintenance and operations teams to prepare vehicles for daily service and special events. Ultimately, this position supports the smooth operation of the fleet by ensuring that all motor coaches are in pristine condition and ready for use at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in vehicle detailing, preferably with large vehicles or buses.
- Ability to work standing for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with motor coach or commercial vehicle fleets.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations related to vehicle washing and waste disposal.
- Ability to operate pressure washers and other specialized cleaning equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to identify minor vehicle issues.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of motor coaches, including washing exterior surfaces, cleaning windows, and polishing metal and plastic components.
- Detail the interior of buses by vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, cleaning seats, and sanitizing high-touch areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Inspect vehicles for any cosmetic damage or maintenance issues and report findings to the maintenance team promptly.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used safely and stored properly after each shift.
- Coordinate with fleet management to schedule detailing activities that align with operational needs and minimize service disruptions.
