Join EquipmentShare as a Heavy Equipment Field Service Mechanic

Picture your morning: you grab a clean, well-stocked service truck, open your tablet, and your first work order is already queued. You tap into EquipmentShare’s T3 platform, review machine history and live diagnostics from the field, and head out across Wichita to get customers back to work—fast.

Schedule & Compensation
  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Overtime available and paid after 40 hours
  • On-call rotation may apply (with additional compensation)
What You’ll Do

Armed with data from hundreds of makes and models, you’ll pinpoint root causes quickly and complete repairs with confidence. You’ll keep machines running and jobs on schedule by:

  • Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer and rental fleets
  • Using laptops/tablets to create, assign, and close work orders; track service intervals; and order parts
  • Delivering safe, professional, and efficient field repairs at customer locations; maintaining a clean, professional service vehicle
  • Completing accurate electronic documentation daily
  • Assisting with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts as needed
  • Sharing your knowledge by mentoring junior technicians
  • Applying OSHA-safe work practices (OSHA knowledge preferred)
  • Leveraging year-round OEM training to stay current

What You Bring
  • Ownership of tools relevant to the role
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency
  • Deep knowledge of construction equipment; ability to read schematics and diagrams
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma required; trade school certification preferred
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable record; at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • May need to be clean-shaven to access certain customer sites
