Tax Manager | Chicago | Up to $175K

We are partnering with an established public accounting firm on a Tax Manager opportunity for a CPA ready to take the next step in their career. This is a client-facing role with a strong mix of technical tax work, relationship management, engagement leadership, and team development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high-net-worth individuals and pass-through entities and enjoy taking ownership of complex engagements while mentoring and developing staff.

What You'll Do

• Lead complex tax engagements from planning through completion
• Review individual and pass-through entity tax returns
• Advise clients on tax planning and technical matters
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Mentor and develop staff
• Manage engagement budgets, deadlines, and workflow
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships
• Stay current on tax law and regulatory changes

What We're Looking For

• Active CPA license
• Tax management experience
• Strong individual and pass-through tax experience
• Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to lead engagements and develop team members
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Business development experience is a plus
• Ability to work primarily in-office (4-5x a week)

• Up to $175K base salary
