A respected faith-based organization in Portland is seeking a compassionate, organized, and service-oriented professional to join our team as a Family Counselor & Office Administrator. This unique role combines client support, administrative operations, records management, and sales-related responsibilities in a meaningful environment where you can make a direct impact on families during important life transitions.
Position Summary-The Family Counselor & Office Administrator serves as a primary point of contact for families, assisting with arrangements, coordinating services, maintaining accurate records, and supporting daily office operations. This is an active, relationship-driven role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build trust with families while managing multiple responsibilities
- Guide families through the selection of services and arrangements with professionalism and compassion.
- Build relationships and identify opportunities to educate families on advance planning options.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting visitors, answering phones, and addressing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and transaction information.
- Coordinate and verify paperwork, signatures, and related documentation.
- Assist with office administration, data entry, filing, and record management.
- Support month-end reporting, reconciliations, and administrative projects.
- Manage office supplies and ensure resources are readily available.
- Foster positive relationships with community partners, vendors, and service providers.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
- 2+ years of experience in administrative support, customer service, sales, family services, funeral services, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Bilingual Spanish or Vietnamese skills are a plus
