Job Description
Thermoplastics Injection Molding Operations Supervisor

At AmbaFlex, you’ll be the conductor of our molding floor—aligning people, molds, materials, and machines so every run is safe, efficient, and on time. In this role, you’ll report to the Injection Mold & Maintenance Manager and serve as a key leader within our manufacturing team, championing quality and continuous improvement every step of the way.

A day in your life

Start of shift: You open with a safety walk, reinforcing PPE and LOTO expectations, spotting risks early, and checking 6S readiness so the area is audit-ready.

Production huddle: With data in hand, you align staffing, prioritize jobs, plan mold changeovers, and balance machine utilization to meet customer commitments.

Mid-shift optimization: You monitor cycle times, scrap, rework, and downtime in real time—adjusting resources, parameters, and schedules to protect throughput and quality. You partner closely with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to troubleshoot issues and lock in lasting fixes.

Data and materials: You keep accurate production, downtime, scrap, and labor records, verify inventory accuracy and material availability, and complete ERP/MRP transactions and reports without delay.

People and handoff: You coach operators, deliver performance feedback, support training, and close with a clean shift handoff that communicates priorities, issues, and expectations.

What you’ll be responsible for
  • Safety & Organization: Enforce safe work practices, PPE, and LOTO; maintain 6S standards; proactively resolve safety concerns.
  • Planning & Execution: Coordinate daily production; schedule jobs, mold changeovers, staffing, and machine loading; adjust in-flight to meet goals.
