Training Specialist
Location: Houston, TX | Hybrid
Pay Rate: Starting at $39.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Occasional schedule flexibility required, with shifts as early as 7:00 AM or as late as 6:00 PM.
Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Training Specialist to support a leading healthcare organization in Houston, TX. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for a senior-level training or organizational development professional with extensive experience designing, coordinating, and delivering employee development programs in a healthcare or large organizational environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, coordinate, and facilitate employee training programs for employees at all organizational levels.
- Conduct engaging instructor-led, virtual, and technology-based training sessions.
- Assess organizational and departmental training needs and develop programs aligned with institutional and Human Resources goals.
- Create and update training materials, presentations, course content, job aids, and other learning resources.
- Partner with Human Resources, leadership, subject matter experts, and department teams to identify learning and development needs.
- Provide training expertise and leadership on employee development initiatives, projects, and organizational programs.
- Develop training strategies that support employee performance, professional development, and organizational objectives.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate multiple training initiatives while managing timelines, priorities, and deliverables.
- Adapt training content and delivery methods to meet the needs of diverse audiences and learning environments.
- Provide guidance and consultation to leaders and team members regarding employee development and training opportunities.
- Support special projects and other organizational development initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field, with demonstrated experience developing, coordinating, and delivering employee development programs for employees and management at all levels.
- 7+ years of senior-level HR consulting, management, or team leadership experience preferred.
- Experience designing and delivering management training programs within a healthcare environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, employee development, and training methodologies.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management, organization, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with technology-based training and presentation tools.
- Real Colors Certification and EQI preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule occasionally between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM as business needs require.
