Responsibilities:
- Process customer transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system
- Greet and assist customers with product questions and seafood selections
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with accuracy and accountability
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout and front-of-store area
- Assist with stocking, labeling, and displaying fresh seafood and market products
- Communicate daily specials, promotions, and product availability to customers
- Support team members during peak hours and high-volume rushes
- Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working around fresh seafood and related products
- Reliable, punctual, and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
