Start Time: Flexible between 7:00 AM–10:00 AM
Schedule Options: Monday–Friday, Tuesday–Saturday, Sunday–Thursday, or rotating days
Work Setting: 100% Onsite

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Echo Technologist to perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures on adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of cardiologists. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac imaging skills, experience performing a variety of echocardiographic studies, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic echocardiographic examinations on adult and geriatric patients.
  • Perform:
    • 2-D echocardiography
    • M-Mode
    • Pulsed-Wave Doppler
    • Continuous-Wave Doppler
    • Color Doppler
  • Obtain relevant patient history and clinical information.
  • Position patients appropriately and obtain diagnostic-quality echocardiographic images.
  • Perform emergency echocardiography studies as required.
  • Assist physicians with specialized ultrasound procedures and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
  • Maintain accurate echo laboratory records and patient charges.
  • Maintain appropriate equipment documentation.
  • Follow established echo protocols and ICAEL accreditation requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain required documentation.
  • Ensure the echo laboratory remains clean, safe, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Follow facility policies, procedures, patient safety standards, and infection-control protocols.
  • Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Certifications & Licensure
  • RDCS certification from ARDMS OR RCS certification from CCI – Required
  • BLS certification – Required
  • All required certifications and registrations must remain active and current throughout the assignment.
Required Experience & Skills
  • 1–2 years of echocardiography experience required.
  • Adult and geriatric echocardiography experience.
  • Experience performing 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler, and Color Doppler studies.
  • Strong understanding of cardiac imaging techniques and protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience assisting with TEE procedures.
  • Experience with specialized cardiac ultrasound procedures.
  • Familiarity with ICAEL accreditation and quality assurance requirements.
  • Experience maintaining echo lab records and equipment documentation.
Additional Assignment Details
  • 14-week contract
  • 1 position available
  • 8-hour day shifts
  • 40 hours per week
  • Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM
  • Schedule may be Monday–Friday, Tuesday–Saturday, Sunday–Thursday, or rotating days.
  • May rotate between multiple nearby echo laboratory locations based on department needs.
