Job Description:
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, ambulation, and medication reminders, while offering companionship and emotional support. Transport clients as needed.
- Prepare meals, complete grocery shopping, clean kitchens, and perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Help clients with transfers, accompany them to appointments or outings, and assist with phone calls, letter writing, or community activities.
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition or environment to the supervisor and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
- Follow care plans, attend required training, and ensure confidentiality and safety compliance.
Caregiver Requirements: - Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation - Pass a Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening upon hire - compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others - Participate in in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as requested by the immediate supervisor - Previous experience as a Caregiver, CNA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Assistant, or similar positions is preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: - Ability to work independently while adhering to established care plans - Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and their families - Excellent interpersonal abilities, including active listening, thoughtful questioning, and respectful communication - Social perceptiveness and awareness of others’ needs and reactions - Proactive and compassionate, consistently seeking ways to support others - Maintain a high level of confidentiality
Job Types: Part Time Variable
Schedule: Shifts range from 2 to 12 hours Day shift Evening shift Holidays – Double Pay
Working Environment: In-home care setting with travel between client homes
