Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with immediate full benefits; not a temporary job)
Location: Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 (On-site)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; no weekends or holidays required)
New Hire Starting Base Pay: $19.00 – $21.40 per hour (Starting pay based on experience, with clear advancement pathways as you build specialized expertise.)
Future Earning Potential: Established employees have the opportunity to earn progressive pay increases up to $28.60 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and continuous learning.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required;
- Credentials/Certification: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; active national certification (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA)
- Direct Clinical Experience: Experience in direct patient care with proficiency in rooming patients, taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and performing health screenings.

Specialized Clinical Competencies: Hands-on experience or training in core clinical MA functions:
- Clinical & Surgical Support: Assisting physicians with plastic/reconstructive in-office procedures, setting up sterile fields, instrument care/autoclaving, and room disinfection.
- Diagnostic & Lab Skills: Phlebotomy, performing EKGs, level-one lab testing (e.g., urinalysis), and administering physician-directed injections or vaccines.
- Administrative & Systems Knowledge: Computer literacy, knowledge of medical terminology, medical charting/EHR, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and HIPAA-compliant records management.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Patient Flow & Surgical Care Support: Welcome patients, collect medical histories and vitals, prepare exam/procedure rooms, and assist patients through treatment plans.
- Physician Assistance & In-Office Procedures: Prepare sterile trays, set up clinical equipment, assist surgeons during minor procedures, and relay physician instructions to patients and families.
- Diagnostic & Specimen Processing: Perform phlebotomy, execute EKGs, process level-one clinical specimens, and document findings accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Infection Control & Inventory Management: Sterilize instruments according to department protocols, maintain room cleanliness between visits, and manage supply inventory.
- Front Office & Patient Communication: Answer patient inquiries, obtain lab/referral reports, coordinate follow-up appointments, and support patient registration workflows.
