Position Description: You’re the engine behind a great shift. As a Prep Cook, you’ll set the team up for success by preparing fresh, consistent ingredients with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. Your work keeps the kitchen stocked, organized, and ready to deliver an extraordinary guest experience.Alexandria Restaurant Partners locations include Ada’s on the River, Barca Pier & Wine Bar, Café Tu Tu Tango, Mia’s Italian Kitchen, Palette 22, Joe Theismann’s, The Royal, and Vola’s Dockside Grill & Hi-Tide Lounge. Position Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:Prep with precision: Follow recipes, prep lists, portion guides, and specifications to deliver consistent results every time.Move with urgency: Prioritize multiple prep needs, manage your time, and keep pace in a high-volume kitchen.Own your station: Keep your workspace clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service.Know your product: Safely handle, portion, label, store, and rotate ingredients according to food safety standards.Protect quality: Pay attention to details, temperatures, portions, freshness, and presentation.Work as a team: Communicate clearly with cooks, chefs, and leadership and jump in wherever the kitchen needs support.Stay organized: Read and execute prep lists while anticipating what the team will need next.Follow through: Complete prep assignments accurately and on time without sacrificing quality or safety. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Qualifications - Qualifications:
Minimum 2-5 years of prep cook, line cook, kitchen, or food-preparation experience is required.Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and detailed instructions.Strong knife skills and the ability to safely use common kitchen equipment.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.Knowledge of basic food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling.Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, carry, push, and pull as required in a commercial kitchen.Reliable, team-oriented, and ready to contribute to a positive kitchen culture.Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Must speak and understand English.
