About the Cook Role:
As a Nursing Home Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to our residents in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your attention to detail, culinary skills, and ability to work effectively in a team will ensure that every meal meets our high standards of quality and taste. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and cooking meals according to recipe and menu requirements
Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
Assisting with tray service and plating of meals
Ensuring that all food is served promptly and to the residents' satisfaction
Collaborating with dietary team to plan and prepare special diets and meals
Maintaining accurate records of food preparation and inventory
Cook Requirements:
Prior experience as a Nursing Home Cook or in a similar role preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift, push, and pull food carts and supplies (up to 50 pounds)
