Your MissionGrow orders while orchestrating accurate, efficient production execution. You will manage customer relationships, support quoting, coordinate suppliers, and keep the shop synchronized through Vista and Microsoft 365 tools.
How You’ll Contribute Sales & Customer Success- Prospect, negotiate, and close B2B machining opportunities.
- Maintain ongoing communications and provide timely status updates, including open order reports and insights from production meetings.
- Capture market feedback to identify where Axis competes and grows best.
- Read and apply engineering drawings and procedures using GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Offer DFM recommendations to enhance machinability, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Create precise work instructions and job travelers.
- Prepare and submit RFQs to suppliers/subcontractors; act as trained backup for primary quoting personnel (Tony/Steve), including during vacations and peak demand.
- Enter and manage RFQs in Paperless Parts; use metrics to improve accuracy, turnaround, and win rates.
- Issue purchase orders and drive supplier updates for planning, scheduling, and fulfillment.
- Operate within Vista ERP for order entry, tracking, and production support; ensure data accuracy for planning and metrics.
- Use Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint) for communication, reporting, document control, and collaboration.
- Collaborate with production managers to align commitments with capacity; take on additional duties that advance growth and efficiency.
- 5+ years in manufacturing (machining preferred; 10+ strongly preferred).
- Success in B2B industrial sales: prospecting, negotiating, closing.
- Ability to interpret complex drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Proven DFM skills for CNC‑machined parts.
- ERP experience (Vista preferred) and a willingness to learn.
- Microsoft 365 proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Goal‑driven, collaborative, and relationship‑oriented.
- Capable of writing work instructions/job travelers and accurate POs.
- Quoting/estimating/RFQ experience in precision machining or job‑shop settings.
- Paperless Parts or similar digital estimating platform experience.
- Production planning, scheduling, or capacity coordination knowledge.
- Experience with waveguides, complex assemblies, or high‑precision parts in aerospace, defense, medical, or industrial sectors.
