We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank accounts, assisting with payroll, and preparing financial reports. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
  • Record daily financial transactions accurately and timely.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
  • Maintain the general ledger and journal entries.
  • Assist with payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate cash records.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
  • Reconcile merchant deposits and insurance payments.
  • Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records.
  • Organize financial documents for audits, tax preparation, and CPA requests.
  • Work closely with management to identify financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial information.
Requirements:

Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop required.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Dental or healthcare bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Experience with payroll systems (ADP preferred).
  • Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of sales tax, payroll tax, and business tax documentation.
