Position: Armleder Philanthropy OfficerEmployment Status: Full-time, 12-month positionReports To: Armleder PrincipalPosition SummaryThe Armleder Philanthropy Officer serves as a strategic fundraising leader for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy's Armleder Campus, advancing a mission rooted in generosity, opportunity, and Christian discipleship. Working in partnership with the Armleder Principal and the Institutional Advancement team, this role builds meaningful relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, churches, and community partners to secure philanthropic investment that expands access to exceptional Christian education for students and families throughout the Cincinnati region.Built on generosity and named after its endowment's founder, the Armleder Campus empowers students in Pre-K through Grade 6 to discover their God-given talents, develop leadership skills, and achieve academic excellence. The Armleder Philanthropy Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that this transformative educational experience remains accessible to families who might otherwise not have access to a top-tier academic opportunity.The successful candidate will develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies focused on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors while communicating the unique impact of the Armleder Campus. Strategic PrioritiesThe Armleder Philanthropy Officer is responsible for advancing philanthropic support that enables the Armleder Campus to:Increase access to high-quality Christian education for students and families throughout the Cincinnati region.Strengthen scholarship and tuition assistance programs that remove financial barriers to enrollment.Support innovative student development experiences, including the House System and Leader in Me® programs.Invest in academic excellence, student enrichment, and faith formation initiatives.Expand community awareness and donor engagement around the unique impact and opportunities of the Armleder Campus.Build long-term philanthropic partnerships that ensure the sustainability and continued growth of the campus.Essential ResponsibilitiesDonor Engagement and Relationship ManagementDevelop and manage a portfolio of prospective and current donors, including current and former parents, grandparents, alumni, foundations, corporations, churches, and community partners.Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects and donors through strategic, personalized engagement.Build and deepen relationships with families and friends of CHCA capable of supporting Armleder Campus priorities through philanthropic investment.Conduct regular donor visits, meetings, and outreach efforts to strengthen engagement and advance giving opportunities.Develop individualized cultivation and stewardship plans that encourage long-term donor relationships and increased support.Articulate and communicate the distinctive mission, history, and impact of the Armleder Campus through donor conversations, presentations, written communications, and stewardship activities.Develop compelling opportunities for donors to invest in initiatives that expand educational access, student success, and Christian character formation.Connect donors with the stories of students, families, faculty, and programs whose lives are transformed through the work of the Armleder Campus.Fundraising Strategy and ExecutionCollaborate with the Director of Institutional Advancement and Armleder leadership to develop and implement annual and long-term fundraising strategies.Establish goals, strategies, and performance measures that support philanthropic growth and donor engagement.Support fundraising initiatives including annual giving, major gifts, capital projects, endowment growth, special campaigns, and strategic institutional priorities.Assist in the development of donor proposals, case statements, campaign materials, impact reports, and other fundraising communications.Maintain a disciplined moves management process to ensure effective donor engagement and solicitation activity.Track progress toward fundraising goals and provide regular reports on donor activity and campaign performance.Identify opportunities for increased philanthropic investment and develop strategies to expand donor participation and support.This position requires flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events, donor meetings, and school/community functions.Collaboration and Administrative ResponsibilitiesFoster relationships with community leaders, churches, foundations, and organizations that share a commitment to educational opportunity and student success.Serve as a visible ambassador for CHCA and the Armleder Campus at school events, donor gatherings, and community functions.Partner with Advancement colleagues to plan and support events designed to cultivate, recognize, and engage donors.Maintain accurate donor records, contact reports, and activity tracking within the Advancement database and CRM systems.Collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, volunteers, and community stakeholders to advance fundraising efforts.Identify opportunities to improve fundraising processes, donor experiences, and operational effectiveness.Actively work toward building cooperative and collaborative relationships across CHCA departments.Perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission and advancement goals of CHCA.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceBS/BA Bachelor required. Master's degree or CFRE preferred.Three to five years of progressively responsible fundraising, development, sales, relationship management, or related experience required. Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, development, major gifts, relationship-based sales, business development, community engagement, or a related field required.Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and relationship management.Experience managing major gift portfolios, fundraising campaigns, and donor engagement strategies preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse range of constituents.Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.Ability to confidently lead philanthropic conversations and major gift solicitations.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate mission priorities into compelling funding opportunities.Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and donor database/CRM systems.Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a high-performing team.Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential donor and organizational information.Commitment to supporting and advancing the mission, vision, and values of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.Ability to work effectively within a Christ-centered, multi-denominational educational environment.
