Interim K-4 Assistant Principal is needed to help lead our elementary school team.This is a temporary position in a Tennessee public school. You will help manage daily school operations. You will also support teachers, students, and families. Position OverviewJob Title: Interim Assistant PrincipalGrade Levels: Kindergarten through 4th Grade (K-4)Location: Tennessee Public SchoolDuration: Temporary / Interim (Dates to be determined)Reports To: School PrincipalKey ResponsibilitiesSchool Leadership & OperationsManage daily student arrival and dismissal routines.Maintain a safe, positive school environment.Enforce the school student code of conduct.Handle student discipline issues fairly.Supervise common areas like the cafeteria and playground.Instructional SupportObserve teachers and give helpful feedback.Use the Tennessee Educator Acceleration Model (TEAM) for evaluations.Help analyze student test data to improve learning.Support data-driven instruction in K-4 classrooms.Participate in student support meetings like IEPs and 504 plans. Community EngagementCommunicates clearly with parents and guardians.Resolve family concerns with empathy and respect.Collaborate closely with the Principal and school staff. Job RequirementsLicensure & EducationValid Tennessee Instructional Leadership License Master's degree or higher in Educational Leadership.Experience & SkillsKnowledge of Tennessee academic standards for grades K-4.Experience with the TEAM evaluation model.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle stressful situations calmly.High level of emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills.
