About This Role
The ideal candidate will be a skilled educator responsible for leading a cohesive teaching team, coordinating curriculum, and managing day-to-day classroom operations. Teachers must possess a deep understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and engaging learning environment. Effective communication with children and adults is essential to meet children's needs, guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching young children, aged 2-3 years old.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement educational curriculum by creating engaging classroom activities aligned with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Model and coach teaching team members to promote success through positive example and guidance.
- Design and lead individual and group activities tailored to the needs of 2-3 year olds, promoting social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure adherence to all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain a healthy classroom environment, adhering to proper hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they adhere to planned activities, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Accurately maintain records, forms, and files.
- Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director to meet company needs.
- Operate center vehicle(s)/transport children when necessary.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience.
- Requires strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- High energy and ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and foster a team environment.
- A strong understanding of child development is crucial.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification is required.
- Must clear a full background check and pass a health screening.
- Must be at least 18 years of age (21 years of age if working with infants).
- Must have the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls, and talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat, or crawl.
- A specific vision ability is required, including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
