Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation, a leading provider of skilled nursing services, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Activities Director to join our team at our Boone, NC location. As a key member of our care team, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating activities programs for our residents, with the goal of enhancing their quality of life and satisfaction.

Activities Director Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the diverse needs and interests of our residents

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify resident needs and preferences, and to develop individualized activity plans

  • Plan, coordinate, and direct activities such as arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, and social events

  • Recruit and engage volunteers to assist with activities and other programs

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities programs, making adjustments as needed to ensure high-quality care and resident satisfaction

  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including activity schedules, resident participation, and program evaluations

  • Demonstrate a commitment to resident-centered care and empathy towards residents with diverse backgrounds, needs, and abilities

Activities Director Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in activities direction or a related field

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff

  • Ability to lift, transfer, and move residents safely and assist with activities of daily living as needed

  • Basic knowledge of resident needs and preferences, with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing needs
