Location: Lake County, CA
Schedule: Full-Time
Reports To: Program Manager
Position Summary
The Supported Living Services (SLS) Lead is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and support to direct support staff while ensuring high-quality services for individuals receiving supported living services. This position serves as a role model for staff, promotes person-centered practices, and helps ensure compliance with applicable California regulations, agency policies, and individual service plans.
The SLS Lead will assist with staff scheduling, training, accountability, documentation, and communication while working collaboratively with management and other leads to support the success of individuals served.
Essential Job Duties
- Lead, support, motivate, and encourage direct support staff in providing quality services.
- Promote and maintain person-centered practices that support individual choice, independence, and community inclusion.
- Follow California in-home supportive care recommendations, best practices, safety standards, and organizational protocols.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of multiple staff members to ensure adequate service coverage.
- Perform direct support services and provide hands-on assistance to individuals served as needed to ensure continuity of care and program operations.
- Be available to work a rotating 24/7 schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as required to meet program and staffing needs.
- Monitor staff performance and help maintain consistent expectations and accountability across the team.
- Ensure daily service documentation is completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with agency requirements.
- Follow through on assignments, projects, and delegated responsibilities within established timelines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, individuals served, family members, and outside service providers as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other Leads and program staff to address service needs, staffing concerns, and program goals.
- Assist with the coaching and mentoring of staff.
- Support compliance with individual service plans, health and safety requirements, and agency policies.
- Utilize agency software, scheduling platforms, communication systems, and other technology tools as required.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and other program activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Basic computer and technology skills, including the ability to learn and utilize agency systems and software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
- Experience in human services, developmental services, social services, or related fields.
- Experience working with In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS).
- Medical, healthcare, caregiving, or direct support professional experience.
- Experience leading, mentoring, training, or supervising staff.
- Knowledge of Supported Living Services (SLS) and person-centered service delivery.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel between service locations as needed.
- Ability to perform duties in home and community-based settings.
- Ability to safely assist individuals as required by program needs and training.

Compensation & Benefits
Starting Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated competencies. Candidates with directly related education, advanced certifications, leadership experience, or specialized expertise in developmental disabilities services may be considered for compensation above the starting range, commensurate with education and/or experience.
