Design Engineer

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Design Engineer - this is an onsite role in San Francisco. Salary range: 220-300K plus benefits plus equity.

Business Email Compromise (BEC) attacks have exploded, rising 141% year-over-year, and have become the #1 way businesses lose money to cyberattacks. Petra detects more attacks and responds faster than any competitor on the market while triggering fewer false positives

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 3-8 years of experience to join a small, high-output team building customer-facing product at one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity startups in the country. You'll be front-end leaning, shipping delightful software that real customers use daily, at a company that's gone from zero to mid-seven-figures ARR in under a year with only four engineers.

What will you be doing?

• Own and ship large, customer-facing product features end-to-end — from design through production

• Build beautiful, high-quality front-end experiences in React and TypeScript for MSPs and security teams

• Drive product quality by understanding what customers care about and translating that into shipped software

• Architect scalable solutions as the platform grows from 10K+ businesses to 10x that

• Help build a new product skew for attack prevention, leveraging our unique data moat
