The Precision Companies include Precision Fabricating & Cleaning Co., Inc. (PFC), Precision Mechanical Inc. (PMI) and Precision Enterprises, Inc. (PEI) - separate, but complementary, business units.

Quality Inspector

Standard Duties

Prepare inspection plans from blueprints and perform visual and dimensional inspection on fabricated and machined parts.

Measure parts per blueprints with equipment needed.

Perform basic mathematical skills (I.E subtraction, addition, multiplication, and division)

Perform simple conversations (I.E millimeters to inches, kilograms to pounds, fractions to decimals, etc.)

Monitor compliance with established quality standards

Establish quality standards, inspection, test and recording and reporting methods.

Perform visual and physical inspections, sampling, and testing of subassemblies and large completed units with very complicated, exacting tolerances for extremely precise workmanship, alignment, operating performance and mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, or electrical requirements, using all types of precision measuring tools and equipment.

Using testing apparatus and equipment for conformance to electrical, mechanical, and other requirements.

Prepare and issue quality certifications.

Job Requirements

Minimum of high school degree. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.

Minimum 3 months of experience

Ability to read and understand blueprints

Ability to discern between different material forms, alloys, and grades

Basic mathematical skills

Microsoft Word & Excel

Good oral and written communication skills.

Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift 51 pounds from floor to table height

Must be able to physically position oneself on large parts and confined spaces

Ability of reading J1 letters for near vision and 20/30 far vision with or without corrective lenses

Capabilities

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, manuals, and/or work instructions. Good oral and written communication skills. Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

Bending, stooping, lifting to 25 pounds.

Equipment to be Used

Computer, various electrical and mechanical test equipment.
