- This position will obtain packaging equipment and materials and deliver items to customers.
- Plans truck routes to insure most economical use of time and equipment.
- Performs routine inspection on assigned vehicles and refers defects or repairs to supervisor.
- Maintains clean truck, cab, and freight areas.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Moves materials safely, accurately, and promptly within warehouse and trucks; records all material movements. accurately on move sheets and/or wireless computer system on forklifts (when installed).
- Regularly assists with receiving materials, manages paperwork, counts material, tags material, and puts material away in warehouse when needed.
- Makes efficient use of time so that output is maximized, and other people are assisted when necessary.
- Maintains specified housekeeping zone and operates all equipment in a safe manner.
- Complete all required continuous learning training, including safety, compliance, and job specific.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving, with proven skills for safely operating various trucks.
• Solid performance record of truck driving. Maintains a valid driver’s license with clean MVR over last 7 years.
• Experience with sit-down forklift, and pallet jacks required, with excellent safety record.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, employees, supervisors, and the public.
• Ability to work independently, to communicate effectively, to follow specific written and oral instructions, quick learner, flexible, detail oriented.
• Ability to make independent judgments, which have moderate impact on the organization.
• Detail-oriented, checks own work and corrects mistakes made. Is extremely careful when identifying material.

Education/Experience:
• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Three (3) years of relevant logistics experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job well.
• Experience with using PC and applications, warehouse management systems, wireless forklift computer systems, and scanners preferred
• Driving a 26ft Box Truck, (this is a non-CDL driving position)
