Job Title: Finance Transformation Senior Manager (hybrid- onsite Monday- Thursday)
Location: US-GA-Atlanta (Sandy Springs)
FLSA: Exempt
#LI-Hybrid
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Finance Transformation leader to lead the finance workstream of our Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) implementation while maintaining continuity of our current finance operations. This is a critical role at the intersection of finance, technology, and business operations — responsible for bridging our legacy Great Plains environment and proprietary contracting platform with our future-state ERP architecture.
The right candidate is a hands-on manager who can hold both current-state and future-state simultaneously: ensuring our high-volume transaction processing, contract accounting, claims payments, and commissions operations run without disruption — while actively driving the D365 build to a successful go-live.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own the finance workstream within our active D365 F&O implementation, focused on partnering and collaboration across technology teams including ISVs and contractors to drive design, build, UAT, and cutover.
- Represent finance in all system design decisions and defining when key directional decisions should be reviewed and ratified by Finance leadership — ensuring alignment with system integrator recommendations and ensuring the configurations reflect our operational realities.
- Manage the integration between D365 and our proprietary contracting platform, overseeing data migration strategy, mapping, and validation.
- Maintain implementation risk register; escalate blockers to finance and technology leadership with clear options and recommendations.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of all finance processes during the migration period — including contract processing, cancellations, claims payments, commissions payouts, and accounting.
- Serve as the primary finance owner for Great Plains until cutover is complete and D365, managing any parallel-run period and ensuring data integrity across systems, including ERP master and metadata management.
- Oversee the integration layer that connects our contracting system and Great Plains, coordinating with IT on any changes or stabilization required during migration.
- Document current-state finance processes and design future-state workflows within D365, identifying opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve.
- Define and own the chart of accounts, financial reporting structure, and period-close process within D365 F&O.
- Post go-live, lead the stabilization and continuous improvement of finance operations on the new platform.
- Act as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, and external implementation partners — translating between business requirements and system capabilities.
- Manage and develop finance operations staff, building capability on D365 ahead of go-live through training and change management activities.
- Report implementation status, risks, and milestones to executive leadership on a regular cadence
The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities.
Job Requirements:
- 5–8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2 years in a management or team lead capacity.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and having participated in or led a full-cycle implementation.
- Strong understanding of ERP integration patterns; ability to engage credibly with IT and SI teams on data architecture, middleware, and API connectivity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or equivalent mid-market ERP, with experience managing a parallel-run or cutover transition.
- Deep knowledge of finance operations in a high-volume transaction environment — including AR/AP, revenue recognition, commissions accounting, and period-close.
- Experience authoring and owning UAT test scripts, data migration validation, and cutover planning documentation.
- Background in vehicle warranty, F&I, insurance — or equivalent experience in a business processing high volumes of contracts and cancellations.
- CPA or equivalent finance qualification is a plus, not a requirement.
- Equally comfortable in a spreadsheet, a design workshop, and an executive status meeting.
- Strong written and verbal communication — able to translate technical system decisions into plain finance language and vice versa.
- High tolerance for ambiguity; able to make sound judgment calls with incomplete information in a fast-moving implementation environment.
- Structured thinker with a bias toward documentation — leaves things better defined than they were found.

- Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
- Flexible Spending Account
- Health Savings Account
- 401(k) Plan with Company Match
- Company-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability
- Company-paid Life Insurance
- Paid Holidays and Vacation
