Carey International Group (CIG) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support the company's legal department. The successful candidate will assist the legal team with contract management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation support, and legal research while collaborating with business teams to minimize legal risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, service agreements, and customer contracts.
  • Maintain organized contract databases and create and maintain checklists and timelines to track key deadlines, renewals, obligations, and other outstanding items.
  • Conduct legal research on contract, corporate, litigation, employment, regulatory, and commercial law matters.
  • Coordinate matter intake and assemble relevant agreements, records, correspondence, and other materials for attorney review.
  • Assist with corporate governance and entity management matters, including maintaining corporate records and coordinating registrations and filings.
  • Facilitate compliance by monitoring regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Prepare and maintain meeting notes and, as appropriate, minutes, and track resulting action items and follow-up matters
  • Coordinate responses to subpoenas, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Assist with litigation management, including document collection, discovery, and communication with outside counsel.
  • Review marketing, sales, and operational materials for legal compliance.
  • Manage legal document filing systems and document repositories and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as HR, Finance, Procurement, and Operations on legal matters.
  • Track legal department budgets, invoices, and outside counsel expenditures.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from a 4+ year college or university
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program optional but not required.
  • General knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional business teams.
  • Familiarity with privacy laws, employment law, intellectual property, or data protection regulations is a plus.
