Job Description

Job Description
Build reliability. Elevate productivity. Lead with expertise.

Imagine stepping into a cell where a minor inconsistency jeopardizes cycle time. You trace signals through an industrial controller, tune a robot’s motion path, and commit a documented code update. Downtime falls, quality climbs, and the team learns from your approach. That’s the craft of this role—owning performance for robotic finishing and robotic wax manufacturing equipment.

How you’ll lead
  • Serve as the SPA (Subject matter/Process Area expert) for robotic equipment and process operations—set standards and influence adoption of programming and process changes.
  • Take ownership of equipment reliability and productivity, favoring permanent solutions over temporary fixes.
  • Coordinate across manufacturing teams to maintain smooth operations and clear handoffs.
  • Maintain disciplined documentation of robot code and equipment modifications.
  • Apply structured troubleshooting to detect, diagnose, and resolve automated equipment issues.
  • Communicate status, risks, and outcomes clearly to partners across functions.
  • Follow all EHS rules required for the work environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred.
  • Proven, hands-on experience evaluating automated equipment and processes and solving equipment issues.
  • Robotic programming skills to refine movement across various controllers; experience using industrial controllers.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints; strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Organized, methodical troubleshooter focused on lasting corrective actions.
  • Robotics programming background and Weld Tech 2 certification (from Shape) are ideal.
Rewards and growth
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) savings plan with employer match
  • Paid time off including vacation, holidays, and sick leave
  • Life insurance and employee assistance programs
  • Professional development and continuing education support
