We are seeking dedicated and passionate Early Head Start Teachers to join our Danbury Early Learning Programs team at the Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc.

About This Opportunity: As an Infant / Toddler Early Head Start Teacher, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing activities that foster the social, physical, and intellectual growth of infants and toddlers aged 6 weeks to 3 years.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement weekly lesson plans tailored to the needs of a classroom of 8 infants (2-20 months old) or 8 toddlers (18-36 months old).
- Provide nurturing support to each child alongside a co-teacher, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Benefit from a collaborative support system, including a classroom aid, Family Advocate, curriculum coaches, and a team of service area specialists in early childhood education, social services, behavioral health, disabilities, and health.
- Utilize Teaching Strategies Gold and Creative Curriculum to document observations and track student progress.
- Enhance language development in infants and toddlers through the use of LENA technology.
- Communicate child routines and updates with parents through Procare Software and Remind messaging.
Requirements
License/Certification:
- Ability to pass the State of CT Office of Early Childhood Background Check process (BCIS)
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Psychology (Preferred)
- CDA Certification or 12 College Credits in Early Childhood Education (Required)
- Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged.
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
