What You'll Do
- Develop and implement engaging educational activities that align with early learning standards and promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children.
- Lead by example and coach your team to success, modeling best practices and providing guidance to ensure the highest quality care.
- Design and implement individual and group activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children, fostering a love for learning and exploration.
- Maintain open communication with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and collaborative planning.
- Ensure compliance with all center policies, state regulations, and safety standards to create a secure and healthy environment for children.
- Supervise and mentor teacher assistants and volunteers, promoting a culture of teamwork and quality care.
- Manage and maintain accurate records, files, and databases, ensuring seamless communication and administrative efficiency.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and growth opportunities to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
- Meets/exceeds licensing requirements including:
- Health Screening
- Background Check
- TB Test
- Physical ability to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Passionate about working with children
- Positive, reliable work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Current Medication Administration Training (MAT)
- Hold CDA or other associate's degree or higher
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
- Experience in early childhood education or related field
