Preschool Teacher for Nature Based, Child-led Arts and Ecology Preschool.

Wave of the Future Preschool is seeking a candidate for our preschool program in Seaview, WA. We seeking a teacher for 30.5 hours a week. The schedule is 11-5:30 Monday-Thursday and 11-3:30 Fridays.Must be reliable, trustworthy, and experienced with children. Experience working with children required. Experience with Montessori, outdoor and arts education preferred. Responsibilities:Lead our after school program (3-5 pm)Observing, guiding, supervising, and assessing children while they learn and exploreCreating and maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valuedSetting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindnessCommunicate with parents and caregiversQualifications:Experience with working with childrenProblem solver & community builderPreferred Qualifications:Early childhood education (ECE)Youth outdoor educationYouth arts educationMontessori certificationRequirements:Experience working with childrenAbility to pass background checkFirst Aid certificationAble to meet DCYF requirements for child care workersBenefits:Childcare tuition discountQSEHRA1 hour PTO for every 40 hours worked$20-22 DOE with room to grow.
