About This Role

This center is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for children from six weeks to 12 years old. We are currently seeking three highly qualified teachers to join our team, requiring flexibility to support the needs of our center. Ideal candidates will possess a warm and caring demeanor, a genuine love for children, and a commitment to creating a supportive environment for both children and parents.



Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of our background check, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding processes. All employment is at-will and may be terminated at any time, with or without cause.



What You'll Do

  • Provide full-time care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and afterschoolers
  • Develop and implement engaging activities aligned with the South Carolina Early Learning Standards
  • Foster positive relationships with families on a daily basis
  • Collaborate as a team member: Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to assist other team members as needed
  • Implement a monthly curriculum theme, showcasing it through visual displays and student projects
  • Cultivate a friendly atmosphere, demonstrate a love for children, and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for children and parents


Requirements

  • At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare facility, preferably with diverse age groups
  • Passion for working with children
  • Ability to teach young children
  • Warm and positive personality
  • Flexible schedule to work any shift between 6:30am and 6:00pm (Monday - Friday)
  • Strong knowledge of SC Childcare Licensing Minimum Standards
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Clean driving record
  • Willingness to undergo a background check
  • High School diploma or equivalent (minimum); preferably with Early Childhood coursework (EDU Certification or CDA)
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain state in-service training requirements
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and see, hear, and respond to children's needs, including reaching high, stooping to the child's level, sitting on the floor and rising from the floor, and standing for long periods of time
