JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Casino Marketing Manager and Player Development is responsible for designing, coordinating, and evaluating all areas of casino marketing and player development. This role formulates and executes effective marketing strategies to achieve the property's long-term business goals, while cultivating strong relationships with high-value guests to drive loyalty, visitation, and revenue. The Manager works cross-departmentally to ensure a seamless, five-star guest experience and upholds the highest standards of service, professionalism, and operational excellence.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing plus 3+ years in a managerial role at an East Coast or Caribbean casino or associate’s degree plus 3+ years of related managerial experience or no degree required with 5+ years of progressive managerial experience at an East Coast casino, including a demonstrated background in business and marketing.
• Experience in developing and executing strategic marketing plans for casinos or similar hospitality environments.
• Strong background in player development, loyalty programs, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
• Demonstrated success in digital marketing, including social media, SEO/SEM, and email marketing.
• Leadership experience with managing marketing teams and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish).
FUNDAMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
• Formulate effective marketing strategies to meet long-term goals.
• Prepare yearly marketing budget.
• Write and present major casino marketing summaries, including the Casino Business Plan.
• Develop and implement direct mail and telemarketing programs.
• Control the cost of all casino in-house promotions, including room amenities.
• Build and maintain personal relationships with top-tier players (whales, high rollers) to drive loyalty and repeat visits.
• Identify and cultivate new high-value players through referrals, industry networking, and outreach at competitor properties or events.
• Monitor play patterns and proactively re-engage players whose visit frequency or spend has declined.
• Authorize and manage complimentary offers (rooms, dining, entertainment, travel) within budget guidelines, based on theoretical/actual worth.
• Arrange custom experiences — private gaming areas, event tickets, dining reservations, transportation to make top players feel valued.
• Organize player trips, tournaments, and special events (junkets, galas, VIP nights) to drive visitation.
• Work with the department, casino staff, and hotel staff to ensure players receive true five-star service.
• Track player activity, preferences, and spending history in the casino's player tracking/CRM system to inform personalized outreach.
• Analyze player worth (theoretical vs. actual win) to prioritize time and comp spend on the most profitable relationships.
• Work closely with hosts, marketing, hotel operations, F&B, and finance to ensure seamless VIP service delivery
• Control department expenses to achieve company objectives.
• Manage a player development budget and report on ROI, player growth, retention metrics, and program effectiveness to senior management.
• Develop and review employees on a regular basis.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Long hours are sometimes required.
• Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
