Our client is a well-respected distributor and solutions provider offering a wide range of packaging, automation equipment and facility supply products. They're known for their customized packaging capabilities, innovative approach, and long-term partnerships with both customers and suppliers.

They're looking for a Customer Service/Project Coordinator/Account Manager to join their Chicago team - someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working cross-functionally, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring top-tier service and support.
  • Partner closely with Field Sales to manage existing accounts and onboard new business.
  • Coordinate with internal teams - including Purchasing, Operations, and Logistics - to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.
  • Work directly with vendors and suppliers to manage custom packaging projects, from artwork to production and fulfillment.
  • Process orders, quotes, and pricing updates with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Track and follow up on open orders, backorders, and special requests.
  • Support new packaging initiatives, testing, and rollout coordination.
  • Maintain accurate data in CRM/ERP systems and identify ways to improve processes and strengthen customer relationships.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Service, Account Management, or Inside Sales (preferably in packaging, manufacturing, or distribution).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills - you're the type who keeps things moving smoothly.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and collaborating across departments.
  • Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems.
  • A proactive mindset and genuine interest in helping customers succeed.
  • Must currently live within Greater Chicago
