Join our team as a valued Assistant Teacher!
We're seeking a dedicated and caring individual to support our Lead Teachers in providing a nurturing environment for our young students.
What You'll Do
Collaborate with Lead Teachers to prepare materials and resources for a fun and engaging preschool experience.
Help create a safe and stimulating environment by setting up indoor and outdoor spaces for play and learning.
Work with Lead Teachers to establish clear expectations and maintain order in the classroom.
Deliver nutritious meals and snacks in line with our dietary guidelines.
Assist with ordering, storing, and inventorying classroom supplies and equipment.
Transform bulletin boards and art displays into interactive learning tools.
Develop strong communication with Lead Teachers and colleagues.
Stay informed through regular staff meetings and training sessions.
Keep classrooms tidy, including table surfaces and toys.
Ensure the classroom has necessary communication tools.
Be prepared to support floating duties and adapt to changing schedules.
Supervise children throughout the day, both indoors and outdoors.
Help plan special events and celebrations.
Take charge of the classroom during Lead Teacher's assessments.
Fill in as a substitute teacher when Lead Teacher is unavailable.
Enhance professional skills through ongoing training and workshops.
Stay certified in CPR and First Aid.
Requirements
CPR/First Aid certification
Early Childhood Certificate
At least one year of childcare experience
Nice To Haves
Experience with CPR and First Aid would be a great asset.
An Early Childhood Certificate is an added bonus.
